Bermuda Dunes Airport, a general aviation facility located right in the community, is a familiar local landmark. The community sits adjacent to neighboring La Quinta to the south and east and shares similar property profiles and masonry maintenance demands, though La Quinta has its own incorporated city government and permit office. Palm Desert borders Bermuda Dunes to the west and is one of the closest shopping and services hubs for most residents.
